Juniors Day brings perspective students to campus

The admissions team gathered 40 students and their families on February 20 for Juniors Day.

Tiffany Goalder, Stephens' admissions event coordinator, said the day began with a presentation from President Dianne Lynch about what to look for when choosing a college and why to choose the college.

The students were given a "conference style" schedule, allowing them to choose different options on how to spend the day.

Goalder said they were given the opportunity to customize their day with options of visiting a class, attending a financial aid and scholarship workshop, going to a campus involvement question and answer session from student services, going on a focused tour to pet central or academic areas like fashion, theater and dance. They also had the opportunity to have lunch in Stamper, where they were able to mingle with current student and faculty members.

Goalder said the admissions department was pleased with the turn out and was excited to see students that were "really excited about coming to Stephens."

Suzanne Sharp, vice president of strategic enrollment, said she has heard people say this was the best juniors day thus far.

"Any time a prospective student comes to campus, it requires the effort of everyone here," Goalder said. "I think we did a great job on Monday of showing our community effort."
